This was formerly titled: Substance Abuse Prevention in the Classroom: School-based Strategies (2013-14)
This 4 part presentation is designed to provide you strategies to promote positive behavior in your classroom.
- Presentation 1 takes you through an understanding of adolescent development, Drug 1001, Prevalence; and Legal, Illegal and Medicine (9 minutes)
- Presentation 2 reviews signs and symptoms, major life areas (MLA’s), continuum of use, and stages of change (11 minutes)
- Presentation 3 reviews resilience, protective factors, risk factors, comprehensive school health, and what a school can do (10 minutes)
- Presentation 4 lesson plans, resources and services (13 minutes)
