Anxiety in the classroom is a common experience. How it is experienced, however, is not always common – it can feel different from student to student and show up in many different ways. As educators, it can be difficult to recognize the many different faces of anxiety in the classroom and to know how to best respond. This course is designed to:

  • Establish a basic understanding of fear and the three main fear responses
  • Differentiate between fear and anxiety
  • Explore many ways anxiety can look like in the classroom
  • Provide supportive strategies for students experiencing anxiety that are brief, simple and sustainable to implement in the classroom setting
  • Help parents/caregivers understand how their young person will be supported in the classroom
